L'accueil à Taillefer est très convivial, on se sent tout de suite à l'aise dans cette propriété bordée par Cheval blanc ! La visite est très intéressante, vignes, chais, cuves... Le dégustation est très agréable, plusieurs millésimes de Taillefer permettent de bien comparer (différences notables !). Il y a aussi leur St Émilion, moins racé. Au final, très belle expérience merci beaucoup ! L'accueil à Taillefer est très convivial, on se sent tout de suite à l'aise dans cette propriété bordée par Cheval blanc ! Notre hôte était très sympa et dynamique. Elle a pris le temps de tout nous expliquer, dans les vignes, dans le chai et dans la cave sous le château. Nous étions 2, sans avoir aucune connaissance dans le vin et la personne qui nous a fait la visite nous a expliquer au mieux tout les détails de chaque étape de la création de leur vin. Having booked this last minute, we were very fortunate to have Julie all to ourselves. As there were only two of us, we had a really personalised experience. From the welcome to the last Au Revoir, we were educated, entertained and informed. Julie was very knowledgeable, and her English excellent. We learnt so much. The tour started in the cellar reception area, where we were taken around various exhibits and maps to give an introduction and history of the vineyard and surrounding regions to explain the different appellations. I particularly liked the diagrams and explanations of the soil substructures, and how they influenced the taste of the wine. The final tasting was also very informative. There was no hard sell, but we did come away with a bottle to keep for future years. Our guide (Adeline) was extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and answered all the questions the group had during the tour. She provided a clear and concise explanation of the region, the effect and importance of the terroir, and the winemaking process used by the chateau. The wines given during the tasting were delicious, I couldn’t resist buying a couple bottles, and even then Adeline was very accommodating to my requests as I needed to ship it. We had an incredible experience on our wine tasting and vineyard tour. Our guide started with the story about the chateau's history, which set the perfect tone. They were extremely friendly, answering all our questions and making the tour fun and engaging. Thank you so much Lucila for a wonderful tour and such an informative tasting experience. We had spent several days in the area and this tour was an absolute highlight for us. We had visited two other Chateau’s and were surprised that there was still so much new material covered in this tour and with such warmth and enthusiasm. The added bonus was that we got to taste St Emilion and Pomerol side by side and we now look forward to continuing to seek out these wonderful wines. We absolutely recommend this experience. We enjoyed very much the tour and the wine tasting. Thank you again! We had a very friendly welcome and an informative tour explaining the making of the wines and the history of the chateau. At the end of the tour we could taste 2 excellent wines and it was interesting to compare the differences of Pomerol and Saint-Emilion. We were really impressed by the beauty of the building and the surrounding including 300 year old trees. Fantastic!We enjoyed very much the tour and the wine tasting. Thank you again!
