We had a wonderful experience with Beatrice as she hosted us for the wine tasting workshop. Not only did she do an excellent job teaching us during the wine tasting workshop, but she also educated us on the wines of St Emilion and surrounding area. Her passion for all aspects of wine, from growing grapes to making wine, is infectious in a good way and made the workshop so special. Beatrice's english is excellent and she answered all of our questions. I am still a novice wine taster, but now I feel as if I know what I'm doing when I taste a wine for the first time and maybe even appreciate the wine I'm tasting for what it is.We had a wonderful experience with Beatrice as she hosted us for the wine tasting workshop. We really enjoyed the experience: the tour guide was very knowledgeable and explained everything very well and answered any questions - we found the tour very informative without being overwhelmed! The wine selection was great and we didn't feel pressure to purchase (although we will be) The Estate itself was very well maintained and well kept. Mon frère et moi travaillions tout les deux dans le vin, alors la guide a adapté la visite pour nous, en ajoutant des détails techniques et spécifiques. Nous avons pu déguster 3 vins donc un millésime 2016 ce qui était vraiment intéressant de voir le potentiel d'évolution de ces vins. Really enjoyable wine tasting experience by a knowledgeable host in a beautiful setting. Good value as if you bought wine the price of the tasting was taken off. Parfait sur toute la ligne. On était entre amis et collègues, dont certains étrangers qui en sont sortis ravis. Ils ont très bien réussi à être pédagogue tout en restant simple. This tour and tasting was a fantastic experience. Virgine, our english-speaking guide, was so knowledgable and explained the whole wine-making process really well. We were independent travellers with a vehicle and decided to stay away from the group tours from Bordeaux. We weren't wrong in that decision for sure. Wine available to buy afterwards and they had credit card facilities too. Thoroughly enjoyable and well worth the tour cost. 28/04/2025This tour and tasting was a fantastic experience. Nous avons visité le vignoble le 07 décembre dernier. Nous en gardons un excellent souvenir. Mention spéciale pour la guide passionnée qui a pris le temps de nous expliquer toute l'histoire du domaine mais également plus généralement du vignoble bordelais. Un grand merci pour sa gentillesse, sa disponibilité et son accueil. La visite du domaine était passionnante, nous avons énormément appris. Les vins étaient de très grande qualité, nous avons ressenti le travail méticuleux et scientifique de Monsieur Despagne. Un grand merci pour cette visite. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir. We had a wonderful tour and tasting earlier today. We have spent almost a week in Bordeaux and visited several chateaux in the Medoc, Entre-du-Mers, and Saint Emilion regions, and this was our favorite. The tour started in the vineyard, with a lot of detail on the vines, terroir, and growing process. We then moved into the vat room and the cellar, and had a very engaging presentation of the winemaking process. The tour finished with a tasting of the first and second wines. The first wine, Chateau Grand Corbin-Despagne, was one of the best we have tried so far. We were thrilled to learn that the wine was distributed to our area of the US in Wegmans, and are looking forward to buying a case to progressively taste it over the years as it ages. We visited while bottling was ongoing and it was very interesting to see the workings of the winery while we visited.
