We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Fonroque! Our tour guide, Julien, was very informative and engaging. As we are learning French, he took the time to speak with us in both French and English, ensuring we understood everything. We also enjoyed our tasting in a beautiful setting. we have been to many winery tours- in Italy, Spain, France and at home in California. This was the best tour ever. Such fascinating and encouraging explanations of the bio diversity process, the dedication to a natural and sustainable production. The wine was beautiful. We greatly enjoyed our tour and tasting at Chateau Fonroque. Our guide was engaged and informative. We were given an excellent visit. It certainly is one of the most beautiful and also beautifully modern vineyard. The architecture and design is just stunning. Our tour guide was lovely and patiently explained everything so clearly. Their vintage red wine is also fantastic, we enjoyed a lot.We were given an excellent visit. Barbara left a super good impression to our group. We were lucky to arrive in time for the last days of the harvesting, and she did walk us through the whole process, getting us close to where the wine is made. We could see every step and after almost 2 hours we went on to the tasting, was fascinating to see this. The very newly renovated tasting room and the super new wine cellar rounded up the experience. We had a great time doing this tour! The grounds are beautiful, and the tour was short and to the point. It was interesting finding out about the lunar calendar and biodynamic wines. The tasting was lovely and our guide, Barbara, was very nice, knowledgeable, and sociable. A piece of bread between wines would have been great. All in all a great experience.
