The winery

Château Mondou and Vieux Château Palon are two vineyards generously exposed to the sun's rays, well protected and naturally drained, and located near the medieval village of Saint-Emilion. Since the 2000 vintage, Grégory Naulet has been producing his wines through an exacting selection process both in the vineyard and during the winemaking process. The vineyards are cultivated like a classified growth, with attention, care and delicacy. Here, each vine receives special attention from pruning to harvesting. The reasoned yields produce grapes that are always picked at full ripeness and give wines that are full-bodied, generous and subtle, with a persistent freshness and palatability on the finish. Each barrel is selected for the quality of its wood, in order to carry out a balanced maturation. When tasted, these wines are consistent, precise and tasty, and give great pleasure. Their remarkable quality is recognised by all lovers of great wines. Château Mondou appellation Saint-Emilion Grand Cru is a cuvée made from very old vines on 3 parcels of 2.40ha located on clay-silica and warm gravel soils. Grape varieties: 67% Merlot and 33% Cabernet Franc. Vieux Château Palon appellation Montagne Saint Emilion is a 5.50 hectare estate situated on a clay-limestone hillside planted with 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc. The initials "Love, Rigour, Work" symbolise the art of the winegrower in making great wines.

    Nous avons passés un excellent moment en compagnie du propriétaire. Malgré une réservation de dernière minute, il a fait de son possible pour nous recevoir. Très communicatif et à l'écoute, il a été très réceptif à nos questions. Le cadre de vue pour la dégustation était magnifique.

    Visite ce jour avec le propriétaire, très intéressante et explications adaptées à notre niveau (néophytes) Le domaine est très joli et particulièrement bien entretenu. Enfin une très bonne dégustation à la clef, et nous ne sommes bien évidemment pas reparti les mains vides . Je recommande sans hésiter !!!

    Une visite très intéressante et instructive. Le propriétaire qui est très sympathique a bien pris le temps de nous expliquer et nous décrire chaque étape de la vinification avec beaucoup de pédagogie. Le chai est magnifique, la salle de dégustation aussi avec une vue imprenable sur le vignoble de Saint Emilion. Je vous recommande vivement cette visite dégustation

    Visite guidée très intéressante, réalisée par un passionné qui s'est montré disponible pour répondre à toutes nos questions. Nous recommandons vivement la visite du chai qui est un moment idéal pour comprendre la vinification dans ses moindres détails. Les vins sont bons.

    Un très bel accueil, pour découvrir un lieu magnifique et très bien entretenu. Mention spéciale pour le chai dans lequel sont entreposées les barriques, il est superbe. La salle de dégustation est aussi très impressionnante : la vue sur Saint Émilion et ses vignes est jolie et la table de dégustation d'un très bon goût. Je recommande. Quant au vin, il est excellent.     Visite d'un jolie domaine, ou le maitre môt est l'amour du travail bien fait. Un vigneron détendu et agréable, qui expliquent bien le travail de vigneron et la conception d'un vrai vin, plus que bon! Il nous a rabibocher avec les vins de bordeaux! A découvrir très clairement

    une visite agréable et chaleureuse sur tout les points : de l'accueil à l'histoire du château jusqu'a la dégustation. Grégory partage sa passion avec joie et humilité, ce qui fait le charme de cet endroit. Cela change des visites touristiques.... Quant au vin, nous avons été littéralement séduites ! On y retrouve tout le côté chaleureux du château Palon et le côté tannique de la région. Un rapport qualité/prix idéal !

    C'était très bien, nous avons eu un bon accueil et une bonne visite. C'était intéressant de voir aussi des petits producteurs qui n'ont pas la même capacité que les grands châteaux. Il a pris le temps d'expliquer, j'ai bien aimé. Nous avons ensuite dégusté le 2016 en barrique et nous avions demandé le 2011 en bouteille pour en acheter après. C'était une jolie découverte.

    L'accueil était chaleureux, la personne en charge de la dégustation était passionnée par son métier, rendant la sortie particulièrement attractive. Les vins étaient très bons, nous en avons meme acheté !
