Mathilde is the best guide you could ask for—knowledgeable, fun, and passionate about sharing the vineyard’s story. She made the whole experience engaging and unforgettable. Matilda was an excellent guide - her English was impeccable and she was very warm and knowledgeable about the chateau, the cellars and the wine. She took very good care of us all, including our two children, aged 7 and 10. We were all very well entertained wandering through the maze of the cellars and enjoyed tasting a good range of wines at the end (and the kids were happy with their sirop and colouring!). It was very good value for money and I would recommend it to anyone in the area. Our guide was informative and went the extra mile after to give us a suggestion for lunch and even called for the booking! Our kids ages 10,9,6 enjoyed the cave exploration and were treated kindly. Lovely informative tour & wine tasting. Guide Mathilde was knowledgeable & spoke great English. Cave visit was interesting. Wine tasting educational and highlighted differences in wines. We had such a lovely trip to Chateau de la Rivière thanks to our tour guide Mathilde. She took us through the impressive quarry tunnels where the Winery stores their aging wine. Une superbe visite, le château est magnifique ainsi que son environnement. Ce fût une très belle découverte, on a vraiment apprécié toute la visite qui fût très instructive, ainsi que la dégustation avec notre guide du jour ( de son surnom Lilou ) un petit clin d'œil à elle car franchement nous avons passé un super moment à ses côtés.
