Visite très bien expliquée, à la fois pédagogique et conviviale. Le guide a su instaurer un excellent relationnel avec le groupe, en s’adaptant aux différents niveaux de connaissance, y compris à l’épouse, moins familière avec le vin. La dégustation comprenait au moins trois vins, tous de très belle qualité, avec un superbe potentiel de garde. Une véritable pépite à découvrir !Visite très bien expliquée, à la fois pédagogique et conviviale. We caught a taxi from the train station and it was difficult to find, as Google maps still had the old location for the tour listed instead of the new building. The tour to the underground caves/cellars was exceptional and quite unique (we saw 6 different wineries on our 3 week visit to France and Spain and these cellars were the most impressive). The wines selected for tasting were good, but not exceptional as I had been expecting. I visited Châtean Béau-Séjour Bécot for a private tour. Loïc gave me a fascinating insight into the history of the château, but also its amazing underground cellars which were part of a sandstone quarry, the specific features of its terroir and its wines. I had the chance to taste their "sibling" wines from Joanin Bécot and Bernon Bécot as well as the 2017 Béau-Séjour Bécot (I had to guess the vintage) and the La Gomerie 2010 (where I had to guess the grape and the vintage) which is a 100% Merlot. The private tour and tasting was an excellent experience, quality service and definitely worth the price. The tour guide (did not get his name) was very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to answer all our questions about wine and gave us lots of information. The location was easy to get to, the place has been renovated not long ago, so it had a modern and clean look. The quality of the drinks were great. The experience reached our expectation, an amazing experience that we would 100% recommend. We enjoyed the visit. The Château Beau Séjour Bécot has a nice view of countryside, and also it was within walking distance to town and train station. The 4 glasses of wine tasting were also enjoyable with chocolate pairings. The guy gave us a tour to the wine cave in the basement, and it was interesting. We enjoyed the visit. Fantastic tour of the vineyard and tasting. Very knowledgable guide who answered all questions and didn’t rush anything, so e we’re closer to 1.5hrs! Beautiful vineyard and fantastic wines. I will start off by acknowledging that we were 15 mins late for our tasting (due to a late driver pick-up and being dropped off at the wrong location). That said, our tasting guide was extremely rude, despite our apologies and the amount charged for the tasting. Wines were OK, but our guide suggested our palettes were not refined enough to appreciate the overpriced merlot. Not worth the visit sadly. The place is a quick 10 min walk from the city centre, a lovely walk through vineyards, picturesque landscape, and when arriving you see from the distance the mediaeval town, what is left from the ancient walls and gate, and the bell tower of Saint Emilion Church, scenic and gorgeous! Googlemaps brought us to a place, nothing like the photo, but from there we could spot it, some 400m away across another patch of vineyard, the Majestic manor house just like the one on the photo. We initially thought we’d have to walk through the vineyards, but then as we went past this under construction warehouse, we saw the path winding directly into our destination. As no clear signs, we saw an open door, and asked, and were guided up the staircase. We were a little early, but were welcomed politely by our host, who requested to wait until all guests arrived - which they did within a couple minutes, and the tour started. Don’t want to tell spoilers, as the fun of it all is to allow yourself to be taken all around, and hear historical facts, the magical transformation, a mixture of craftsmanship, chemistry, art, and love, and be surprised by every fact, every detail, every curiosity. It was both educational and absolutely interesting! Perfect for amateaur wine lovers like us! Nice to understand what it means for a wine to be qualified, categorised, as Premier Grandu Cru Classe… Exquisite, more than special, unique… From the tour through the vineyards, we are taken inside for the wine tasting. We were given 4 wines, and pairing nibbles. Always find amazing how food can change/improve the taste of wine, and discover those matching pairs at these tasking sessions! We really enjoyed the visit to Beausejour. We had a very knowledgeable sommelier, who drove us through the vineyards, providing very interesting information on the management of the vines and the history of the chateau and later took us fir a very good wine tasting with a great selection of wines, that allowed us to sample some of the styles of the wines of St Emillion and surrounding areas.We really enjoyed the visit to Beausejour. One of the most prestigious producers in St Emilion and the wine is just amazing. Had an interesting wine and chocolate pairing with four wines that I really enjoyed. Une très belle balade en plein milieu des vignes, où le guide nous a bien expliqué le vin de la vigne jusque dans la bouteille. Nous ne sommes pas des experts et pourtant nous avons tout compris. La dégustation s'est poursuivie de la même manière : de bonnes explications claires et concises et des réponses à toutes nos questions. Nous avons beaucoup aimé les vins.
