Nos hemos sentido muy bien acogidos en la visita. La posibilidad de haberlo hecho en español ha sido lo que nos ha impulsado a ir a esta bodega que desconocíamos. Ha sido un gran descubrimiento y con una visita muy completa. Muy recomendable, bodega familiar de producción ecológica. Une très belle visite du château familial et surtout une très belle découverte! Le propriétaire nous fait partager son métier et surtout avec passion ajoutée aux explications plus que claires sur son métier. De plus, les conseils apportés pour la dégustation des différents vins sont plus qu’intéressantes par rapport aux idées reçues que nous pouvons avoir. Nous avons passé un très bon moment et merci à vous .Une très belle visite du château familial et surtout une très belle découverte! Le propriétaire nous fait partager son métier et surtout avec passion ajoutée aux explications plus que claires sur son métier. Super visite, très intéressante. La guide etait tres compétente pour les adultes comme pour les enfants ! La dégustation etait aussi très complète pour les adultes. Seul questionnement, le prix plus élevé pour les enfants qui n'ont rien eu de particulier en plus par rapport aux adultes... (possibilité de déguster plusieurs jus de raisins ?)Super visite, très intéressante. La guide etait tres compétente pour les adultes comme pour les enfants ! We had a wonderful and informative tasting on the lovely grounds of Château Bernateau! It was one of our favourite wines in Bordeaux and we would highly recommend spending your afternoon here! It was very easy to get to Château Bernateau from the village and such a beautfiul and scenic drive there. Definitely put Château Bernateau on your list! THIS is the place for your tour and wine tasting! It's just that simple. Chateau Bernateau winery has been in the same family for 11 generations (!) Our tour was conducted by the current owner/manager's wife. We got a very informative introduction to wines in and around St. Emilion, went out to the vineyard where we learned about the grapes and their required care, and then had a tasting in the chateau's lovely gardens. We sampled three different red wines - a Merlot, a Cabernet Franc, and finally, a rich, complex blend. Our hostess allowed us to take our time, but she was also on hand to answer questions and offer insights. There was absolutely no pressure to buy, but we happily purchased six bottles, at a major discount compared to their cost in the US, where we live. Château viticole très beau et accueillant par la gérante du domaine, explications et discours très pertinent avec un vocabulaire accessible et clair pour des néophytes. Les vins sont très qualitatifs avec des prix tout à fait raisonnables. En tant que Bourguignon, nous ne pourrons plus me reprocher d’être chauvin car oui, j’ai du Bordeaux dans ma cave grâce à ce domaine! Je recommande. ?? A lot of hype about this winery so was looking fwd to a visit. Found the young lass very welcoming and keen to help. However 3 of the 4 wines tasted I believe were not opened recently and had gone past their use by date - were not holding up or had not been re-sealed correctly overnight. Prices were very competitive, but hard to tell if good value as I am hoping the tasting was not indicative of the actual wine quality. Nous avons visité pendant la canicule de mi-août. Il y avait plusieurs groupes en même temps, parfois jusqu’à trois dans la même salle. Deux guides faisaient attention au volume et parlaient à voix basse, mais une guide plus expérimentée étaient beaucoup moins discrète, du coup, nous n’entendions presque plus notre guide.Nous avons visité pendant la canicule de mi-août. It was a marvellous visit, and our guide, whose name I completely forget, she was at University doing her Tourism degree was amazing. One of our group was very knowledgeable about wine, and she handled it excellently, and they sort of tag-teamed our questions about the wine process. We had a lovely tasting on the lawn, it was an exceptional visit from start to finish. Even my hopeless 19 year old son enjoyed it. It was a marvellous visit, and our guide, whose name I completely forget, she was at University doing her Tourism degree was amazing. One of our group was very knowledgeable about wine, and she handled it excellently, and they sort of tag-teamed our questions about the wine process. We had a lovely visit and tasting at Chateau Bernateau. The staff were very nice and welcoming and the setting in their outdoor garden was beautiful. And the wines were excellent as well.
